CAMP LA-NO-CHE IS YOUR BEST CHOICE FOR SUMMER CAMP!
You and your new Scouts BSA unit for girls/young ladies are welcome to attend ANY WEEK at Camp La-No-Che this summer!
With the change to the Scouting program, allowing for the formation of female Scouts BSA troops, this summer we will have female troops attending camp. Having females at camp is not a new thing for Camp La-No-Che, as we have always welcomed Venturing and Exploring programs at camp, which are co-ed, as well as a co-ed Summer Camp Staff.
OUR FACILITIES ARE ALREADY PREPARED FOR YOUNG LADIES:
- Individual stall flush bathrooms in every campsite.
- Individual stall showers in every site.
- Public male and female restrooms and changing rooms throughout camp, including at dining hall and pool.
- Screened-in activity shelters for social time in every campsite.
- Screened-in camper cabins in select sites!
- Active female staff members ready to welcome more girls into BSA programs!
Each individual site will be for either male troops or female troops. When selecting campsites, there is an area to indicate any preferences your unit might have when it comes to what units you share the site with. While we can not guarantee your preferences will be able to be accommodated, especially on our busier weeks of camp, we will do our best to make sure they are taken into consideration when final site assignments are made.
Keep in mind that the camp’s use of the buddy system means that a minimum of two Scouts should travel together around camp. If this includes a Scout of the opposite gender, there must be at least three Scouts traveling together. All programs and activities will be open to all Scouts attending camp, regardless of gender.
