Home Facilities Operations Program Additional Info

General Information:

These programs are scuba certification programs with the classes offered during summer camp, however this program is available year round with advance reservations to the camp who will follow up with the Camp Scuba Director.  All scuba classes and programs are open to both Scouts and Adult Leaders.  The minimum age requirements for the programs are 14 years of age.  Those attending the classes will be required to cover the entry fees into the state park dive sites currently at $10.65 per day.  There will be two days of diving.  These fees are in addition to the course fees and stay at camp fees.  If the participants wish to visit other dive sites as part of the class program, fees may be higher.  Participants must confirm this before coming to camp.  An example of this would be to complete the program required dives in West Palm Beach off a licensed charter boat expected average cost $50.00 per participant.  Please be aware that the program may have participants from other troops.  All equipment rental fees, purchase cost, and charter fees will be paid direct to Camp Scuba Director, this is to facilitate simplicity of group payments.  All class program fees are paid directly to Camp La-No-Che.

Any scouts who may have a medical concern which might preclude them from participating in a scuba diving program may obtain a medical statement questionnaire prior to attending camp.  This questionnaire may need to be signed by a physician. The medical questionnaire is different from the Class 3 Medical form requested for attending camp.

Any participants below the age of 18 will require parent or legal guardian's approval and signature for course participation.  Approval forms may be obtained by contacting the Camp Scuba Director.
