CUB HOLIDAY CAMPOUTS: December 12-14, 2008
Cub Holiday Activities Information: Come to camp to celebrate our December Holidays!
Theme: Celebrations around the World
December is full of days of celebration and observance for many cultures and faiths around the World. Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanza. Join us at Celebration Hall, where each Pack or Family is encouraged to provide a holiday type display featuring one of those listed above. Displays will be judged for Best Design and Youth participation. Enjoy a traditional Holiday Craft or you can build and decorate your very own Latke flipper….
Several other Holiday events are planned for your Youth to participate in such as Holiday Parade, Winter Wonderland of Sports, BB’s, Archery, Candle light hike and Campfire program.
Fun activities are planned for day: BB Guns, Archery, Holiday Winter Games, Fitness/Sports competition, Crafts and more!
Then in the evening, we will celebrate the holiday with a parade, parties and more!
PARADE: Packs are invited to add an entry (decorated float, pull wagon or another exhibit) into the Cub Holiday Parade. This Parade exhibit may only be manned by a couple of leaders and two cub scouts from each program (Tiger, Wolf, Bear and Webelos). We would like the rest of pack on the parade route. Also a special guest will be in our parade?
OTHER EVENING PROGRAMS: Visit Santa at the Santa's Workshop, Candlelight Procession, Unit exhibits of holiday religion exhibits in Rotary Lodge, Enjoy Christmas Cookies and Hot Chocolate in the W.T. Bland Dining Hall, Christmas Tales by our Akela at the Council Ring, and much more being planned now!
Sunday morning - Chapel Service and time to clean up to return home!
