Camp Masters Volunteer Program
Camp Masters are volunteers that man the camp on weekends and provides services to units using the camp. They have keys to facilities, answer unit questions, provide guidance in the usage of camp, make sure camp rules are followed, ready to help in emergencies, assist Camp Director and more.
The Camp Master use a cabin or building with air condition and bed. Currently, the Camp Master will use the camp mini-van to drive around the campsites and around the outside of the downtown camp area. Food Service is provided through the W.T. Bland Dining Hall when it is in operations already providing food for a program. Otherwise, Camp Masters may buy food from concession stand, visit a local restaurant or bring their own food to prepare. The Camp Master is provided a camp radio for further communications with the Camp Director and Camp Ranger.
Training is provided for the Camp Master volunteers. The current Camp Master program is being operated by Matt Ragan, Camp Director. The name of Camp Master is listed by the weekend date if already filled. If you are interested in signing up for a weekend, please e-mail matt@camplanoche.com to sign up for a weekend. Then the camp will be in touch with you about your weekend. You may sign up for more than one weekend if you wish. Also, Camp Masters earn hours for their volunteer time as Camp Master!
