American Red Cross Youth First Aid & Safety Training:
F.A.C.T. (First Aid for Children Today) - available for grades K-3: The FACT Critter Clan leads kids through health promotion and injury prevention activities. Its environmental theme teaches safety in a nonthreatening ways. Topics include hygiene and health habits, first aid, personal safety and injury prevention. This course is 4 -5 hours. B.A.T. (Basic Aid Training) - available for grades 3-5: Children learn emergency response skills, rescue breathing, and ways to prevent and care for choking, wounds, nosebleeds, falls and animal bites. The course includes responses for fire safety, poisoning, water accidents, substance abuse and more. This course is 6 hours. Cost is $10.00 per youth Click here to request B.A.T.
American Red Cross Health & Safety Certifications - available for grade 6 to Adult: available through camp and the Central Florida Council: Watch for class information below starting in January 2005. Class size will be limited and certification price will vary. Also, Units will be able to sign up for these certification by participating in a Health & Safety Camping weekend. When participants finish the certification class, they will receive American Red Cross certification after passing written with a score of 80% or better and completing all skills practical sessions.

#Adult CPR/First Aid/AED - 6 1/2 hour course BSA Membership: $30 Regular Cost: $40-$45.

#Infant & Child CPR with First Aid - 6 hour course BSA Membership: $30 Regular Cost: $40-$45
